Note: The VHCTAz education committee refines the 2008 calendar throughout the year adding programs for all veterinary staff. The following is a tentative calendar for your reference. Please return to this web page to check for details on specific dates/topics/speakers as they become available.
VHCTAz
Certificate of Achievement Program CE Required for CVT Certificate Renewals According to the Administrative Rules, CVTs will be required to complete 10 credit hours of continuing education for the certificate period ending December 2008. The following continuing education
is approved by the Board: Many of the programs offered by VHCTAz, sponsored through the AzVMA have been approved for credit. If you are unsure about a particular VHCTAz program, please contact the AzVMA office at 602.242.7936.
Update: Veterinary Technician National Examination
(VTNE) VHCTAz has received a policy update from the American Association of Veterinary State Boards about the VTNE exam. Their board has approved the following policy regarding eligibility to sit for the VTNE: "After December 31, 2010, a VTNE candidate must be a graduate of a veterinary technology program accredited by the AVMA or the CVMA or a program approved by the regulatory board of the jurisdiction where the examination is given."
